About Robert G. Shaffer, II
Robert Shaffer’s practice focuses on all aspects of business and corporate law, including securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, and taxation. He also provides counsel to his corporate clients on forming emerging growth companies, raising capital, protecting intellectual property and technology rights. His experience in health care law includes a comprehensive range of business, corporate, transactional regulatory and administrative matters.
He has represented clients in a number of notable transactions, including an apparel manufacturer and distributor in connection with the $67 million sale of its business; a buyer in a $52 million purchase of an international health care public relations firm; a large physician practice in the sale of its $35.8 million practice and more.
Robert is the author of ”Buy Bankruptcy Assets for Pennies on the Dollar,” published in the November 2002 edition of The Business Journal; ”Addressing the Capital Needs of Your Business,” published in the September 1, 2000, edition of The Business Journal; and ”Medical Savings Accounts,” published in the March/April 1997 edition of Jacksonville Medical Connections. He also is a frequent lecturer on mergers and acquisitions.
